So the black and gold is still good oil and was the best in the 70's and 80's but others have passed it up?

The black and gold bottle stuff was passed up many years ago. The newer stuff in the blue bottle isn't too bad

What does or doesn't it have that a new semi synthetic has?

I saw they have a full synthetic oil. Spectro Platinum SX 32:1

For starters it wouldn't come close to meet g jaso FC let alone fd. It's dirty, smokey even at 50:1 and greater.

Sx was the newer stuff I was referring too, although it can be hardly called new when it came out over 15 years ago.
