I have a quick oil question. I have been using echo red armor and I have had to lean up the saws more then I would think I would have too.
It is a bit warmer so as I understand that would need leaned some? Correct?
Also can just an oil change, same ratio make enough difference to have to make large adjustments.
I had to lean the high on my dolmar 6100 by almost 3/4 of a turn.

I think there are better choices for saws. At least for how I operate them. Same for Motul 800, which was pretty dirty in my MS260.
I should add I never mill. If I did I might look at 800 or r-50, but then again I might not.
In my experience milling ,reg saw oil is fine as long as you have a good sharp chain ,the increased load sucks so much fuel so fast it gets lubed pretty good .

Next time I stop and get oil I'll grab a bottle and try some in saws.

I use a couple gallons a week testing and running newly ported saws.

You can always justify another saw.

I had a 1996 rm-250. The thing I remember most about the bike is the lack of stability. It would head shake like no other. I ran H1R in it too..didn't know much better.
Probably one of the worst bikes ever designed. I've never ran H1R or Spectro in anything, so I can't comment. I ran many gallons of MC-1 before going to 927 in the early 90's.

Golden spectro is a great oil and will work great in a bike. If I was running wfo in sand dunes I may think of something different now. I have had good luck with it in sleds and skis. Although I've not blowen up many motors.

Golden Spectro? Good oil? I need some oil for my bike for this weekend.
Thats all we used to run back in the day...good stuff. Just picked up 2 bottles last night @$4 a bottle for a cr500 that I put a new top end on. Fired it for the first time in 15 years....awesome. 20160512_164103_1.jpg 20160512_164726_1.jpg Never ran it in a saw though. Yet.
