Yeah i sent about 6 3.5oz bottles to MustangMike but decided to try it based on what Brian said about it. The stuff I sent to Mike was older didn't have stabilized in it I don't think but not that that really matters.
I had to retune from the dirt bike oil some ,even going from 40 to 1 amsoil to 32 to 1 ,when went to 32 to 1 the rpms raised considerably and had to retune .my plug was solid black when i swapped to amsoil the first time it was so rich .
Stuff is also easy for me to get ,one of the tool trucks that stops by once a week keeps it on the truck ,i do not have to go anywhere to get it which is super handy .

Sounds like Brian uses quite a bit of it. And his stuff looks right. I've only used interceptor. Smells like you're at the races

The only other Amsoil i've used is Dominator and it was good oil also but i heard more from more than one person on MX and dirt bike forums that they've had rust on their crankshaft but i never saw pics of it. I just quit using it but it might've been fine, those guys might've went through some deep water and sucked in some water idk.

dominator is a racing oil ,no extra stuff like rust inhibitors ,says right on the site for racing engines that will be torn down and inspected regularly .

Just got to thinking on what i wrote when switched to the saber ,my plug was super black and rich without tuning the carb from the mobil 1 or yamalube ,that seems like the saber would be much thinner and free up some drag to me
Thoughts ?
I did feel an increase in how happy the saw was cutting also .

The thicker bike oil might be slowing the piston down especially at 32:1

A thicker oil at 32:1 and then going to a thinner oil at 32:1 or even 40:1 is gonna require a new tune.

I noticed when I was limbing with Saber that my 550 winds up quicker
Yes my hybrid seemed happier limbing also .

This KL200 seems to make the 661 happy. Mixed at 45:1

If the oil would break down it would almost have an immediate affect. Since this is a 2 stroke it always has fresh oil and fuel entering and exiting.

On a bar note I kind of prefer the Total light bar compared to the EsLight by a hair

I've used the kl200 in saws that turned 15.5k out of wood. Never had a problem with it.

After a tank and no problems, seems a little dry peaking onto muffler but after a couple tanks it is to early to be skeptical. Mixed close to 50:1 ish

You can always justify another saw.

I've always felt Amsoil was over hyped and over priced. Flame on.

That is how I check wash and plug colors on sleds and bikes.

You really do not idle the whole time you ride, idle to me is more intended to help cool down the engine after some normal abuse.

That is why in milling uses, I do like the theory of letting the saw idle for a good bit to help cool everything down by having extra oil do it's intended purpose (lube and cool).
An old Baja trick with bikes was to press the kill switch occasionally with the throttle wide open on long full throttle stretches. It pulled extra fuel/oil into the cylinder to cool it. Not real practical for saws though.

I felt the same way ,would laugh if someone used it because of the 100 to 1 bs marketing ,only reason i tried it was because it is blue if you guys want the truth. If it was gold i would have never even mixed any up.

The interceptor I have is gold, no dye. Not sure what the addictive smell is. I only got it because it's all they had and it would cost me more to drive home and get mine. I don't doubt it's a good oil for a saw. I think it got overhyped from the 100:1 claims.
