I wouldn't be afraid of the torch at 32:1.

R50 mixes with ethanol but not nitro and e85.

your gonna think this is odd but lawnboy specs tcw3 for these engines i have tried running chainsaw oil in these and it fouls the plugs and gets a crazy amount of ash deposits in the muffler and plugs the exhaust ports. but if i run outboard oil in it, it is clean with only a light coat of oil in the muffler and cylinder and the plug looks close to new after countless gallons.

here is what one year of use looks like burning 40:1 husqvarna xp oil so its back to outboard oil in this.
the ash deposits is awful they did say in the manual to use ashless oil only i guess that is the reason.

Guess that would be dependant on how it was ran when it was shut off too. Not near as much residual as Klotz though

Compared to Klotz yes.... but looks a world better than some engines ran on 50:1. If you look closer at the pics it does not seem that dry lol.

It did not seem to lack oil I think

I work on company saws that live on stihls orange oil at 50:1 and there bone dry.

I'm always amazed how a saw can last as long as they do. Way tougher than most think.

32:1 I remember being pleased with how it ran during that time. It was at spec. I usually will turn the saw off right after a few cuts at the end of the tank, little idle time to cool but not much.

Then tear it down.

Looks like what it should shut down like that. Looks like what my 241c looked like on hp2. I like to shut it off with rpm as I think that gives u more of an idea of lube in the bottom during normal running conditions? What yall think?

If Im gonna sit a saw up a bit I like to let it idle alil before shutting down to resist rust in the bottomend. Ive rebuilt several bottomends lately because of rusted rough bottom bearings

That is how I check wash and plug colors on sleds and bikes.

You really do not idle the whole time you ride, idle to me is more intended to help cool down the engine after some normal abuse.

That is why in milling uses, I do like the theory of letting the saw idle for a good bit to help cool everything down by having extra oil do it's intended purpose (lube and cool).

Didn't you just get rid of a bunch of that stuff? Lol
Yeah i sent about 6 3.5oz bottles to MustangMike but decided to try it based on what Brian said about it. The stuff I sent to Mike was older didn't have stabilized in it I don't think but not that that really matters.
