Im lucky enough to have a summit racing not far up the road to get some kl200. I was tempted to try some redline last time. Has anyone tried it?

My uncle used to have a RedLine sponsorship back in the 80's

In my area I keep being told that the Dolmar and the Makita 2-stroke oil are the SAME, yet they behave different at the same ratio, same fuel source/pump, same chainsaws, same usage.

The Makita oil doesn't burn entirely and excessive oil is being expelled out the muffler port at WOT. :)

No excessive unburnt oil to speak of when using the Dolmar branded oil. :(

I kinda like the Makita oil, gives me piece of mind regarding sufficient lubrication. ;)

I am determent to find me some more Makita oil. :campeon:

Found the 16 ounce VP oil at Walmart today for $6.84. Didn't someone say that this is pretty good oil too? It's a good bit cheaper than red armor so I got some to try

I like the VP

@tp2177 VP is some great oil. I'm sensitive to some oils that make my eyes burn but this exhaust doesn't and it smells good too.

Cool thanks guys. For the price and ease of availability I may just run this stuff from now on. I do like how red armor doesn't make you smell like 2 stroke when your done using. As long as VP is the same I'm cool with it.

I have a can of the VP SEF from walmart, the black can 50:1 and I gotta say it has the most acrid smell, it smells like plastic burning. I am guessing its not the same oil as there new mix that they sell separately since everyone has claimed it has low fumes.

I was running C9 & 800 2T @ 32:1

Word has it that VP uses Motul 710 for the SEF
