What oil is best? and what ratio?

Some oils of better quality just combust better with less depoists and residue. Kl200 being one from what Ive seen. I think the gallon of KL200 I bought was 46$ shipped . Think that works out to 11.50 per qt? Probably not anymore than the cheaper oils folks here r hollering about

Im not sure Chris . All Ive done is ran some oils and picked my favorites that seem to work best in my equipment. All I know is if Castrol stirs their oil up like they do Stihl Ultra is they couldnt ship me a septic tank full of it brother

It works for me. I found a 6 pack of this sitting around so i'll burn this until its gone

The last time i was in the Dolmar dealer a few months ago they said all the new oil they were getting in was Makita. Not sure if its the same.

Lighter load and lower RPM on the trimmer would be my guess.

Here's a year old rental ms251. The chain normally gets stuck in the dirt on the first cut then burns through the wood for the rest of the day. How Is this oil doing 40:1

The Dolmar/Makita oil is the same. MSDS is the same as Woodlandpro Syn.

You may find that is some fantastic oil and my rival as one of the cleanest burning and leaves a lot of oil on the side of the piston. At least that is my experience.

Tiny bore, less rpm, lower power output, less load compared to a saw. Probably more idle time.

I would love to hear your feed back and thoughts after you run it a while. The smell kinda bothers me in a very close still area.

Just tore a Stihl FS85 down. Owner said ran on Stihl orange bottle the 1st few years and the last several has been Stihl Ultra. Any takers for Stihl Ultra? Top ring is stuck
