Exactlty! Hence reasoning why quality is always a sought out item and not easy to obtain

However if the quality has gone down and it is now A blend like all the other oils then it's simply is not worth what they charge for it.

99% of the people going into buying oil don't even care and just buy the cheap one and will never know the difference

Well if it is changing I'll grab a case of 12-1qt bottles while I can or I guess you could add something like a bit of Motul 800 if you want some esters in the mix .

I tried Klotz when it first came out (1974 I think). At that time it was a racing oil without a lot of detergents - it gummed up the rings very quickly - about as bad as castor oil. The next generation of Klotz had more detergents and would keep the rings free. I was racing in the desert with high heat and load and thought I might need the extra protection.

I ran the Klotz for about a year and then went back to Pennzoil - never had a problem with the Pennzoil, but the bike did have better throttle response with the mineral oil (I expect the mineral blends are a lot better since the 1970s). The Pennzoil also gave a bit more range on a tank of gas

I run a good CD rated mineral oil now in these low powered OPEs.
