Good move IMO. I don't see the need for esters in OPE and there are downsides.I dont like the fact they took the Ester out but Im sure its still one of the better oils out
When I ran Saber I was tuned on the rev limiter hard. Like bounced past the limiter and hit 14,500 on a 13,500 saw. And was still getting some build up at the exhaust. I was scared to go any leaner.Ive never had any oil spooge.
Spooge is a tune problem not a oil one.
What mineral oil are you using?
Tuning one faster doesn't necessarily mean that it's not fat. When I ran Saber I was tuned on the rev limiter hard. Like bounced past the limiter and hit 14,500 on a 13,500 saw. And was still getting some build up at the exhaust. I was scared to go any leaner.
How it's tuned and operated are what makes them slobber.Tuning one faster doesn't necessarily mean that it's not fat.
The low is usually the problem
I get it from our Co-op. I looked up who made it years ago, forget now, but it was a major company - it has blue dye...
Its called 'Bynorm' and is made by Stens. It is an FD rated oil "suitable for all air-cooled two-stroke power equipment" - and by Australian standards it is fairly cheap, $17 per litre. I run it at the 'metric' 33-1. (that's 150ml oil to 5 litres of petrol)
