What oil is best? and what ratio?

Kelsey makes great heads for bikes and sleds but that article could take the cake for worst two cycle oil article on the internet. He doesn't have a clue what he's talking about in multiple areas of this topic.

His motor work is top notch, but like many engine builders he doesn't know much about oil.

Yes sir I would love to have a set of heads done by him on my sled. Have heard wonderful things. im no expert on anything or even a jack of all trades master of none but I'll tell ya straight up I can break anything and probably loose part of it in the process. But have yet to have a engine failure due to lack of oil. On the same note I do notice performance differences between oils but I run what's available downtown and tune as needed. Famous last words from me....cheap oil is better than no oil.

I doubt anybody has had an oil related failure no doubt but it's interesting to see how far some members have went to show their findings and share them with us. It's all about compare and contrast friend. Without it we would be still clanging rocks together to built the o mighty FIRE. Run what works for you and go about your day as I will do. But don't knock others for doing research and testing. Cudos to those members that do. It can't hurt to try and find something better. Right.

Bottom end is great shape, piston is worn, must be all da conventional and sthil oil I use to use.

Highly doubt any of these oils reduce friction assuming your comparing like viscosity oils.
