You're a smart guy. Don't overthink it. Just test different octanes and make your own conclusions. I listen but I have to prove or disprove ideas myself. I don't see any sense in running racing fuel firewood cutting but if it's faster in your saw I'd use at a GTG or betting on a case of beer.
I see your point ole buddy.

Sometimes its better to agree to disagree to move foward in a gain for knowledge. Just a thought

10 is not a valid sample size given the variability involved.
Well ok twelve. Since it only takes twelve jurors to determine guilty or not guilty. Best to my knowledge, GTG's are determined with three timed cuts to determine a winner. Three is enough to determine in octane tests also. Especially if it's repeatable with the same conclusion.

I mistakenly hit "like"..lol. So all these GTG's means nothing and the winner is a fluke. You're saying all these members on this site that has won a GTG wasn't valid? What do you think they do at these GTG's.....connect them to a dyno to determine the winner?

I've seen fast saws on 87 nonE. It's what I run and almost everyone I know. I've bought 110 and it smells good. But seen no value added times.

All fast saws here run 87.

If this was a car with 8 cylinders fighting the detonation of a high comp turbo or Supercharger? It would be different. One cylinder? Not noticeable. . In my testing

Using 110 Sunoco in my 660 it livens up. Quicker throttle response and more power in the cut. I had three witnesses watching and they all said the 110 was noticeable faster than 93. I'll test again to see if I get the same results.

To the eye? Or to the watch?

Big difference. Those fumes make people think it's faster. 110 smells like my first girlfriend on that special night!

Timed cuts from a video. The 110 smelled great. No way I'd make a conclusion based on visual or feel.....other than a girlfriend.
