What oil is best? and what ratio?

nope it they leave the injector pumps alone they wouldn't have to spend 1500$ on a overhaul. we got bone stock kubota diesels with 12,000 hrs on them still running strong.

i run what ever oil i can get at work grab the 12.8 oz bottle of husqvarna xp oil and mix 3.2 gallons of gas in it and run it.

241c with 87 efree both mixed at 32to1. The first 2 pics r hp2 and the last 2 r Yamaha R2. Not only did the R2 burn the mix off in the cylinder better and changed the wash pattern but r2 also left more residual oil in the bottomend

The first two are 2R? They look better.

Depends on what u r looking for. 1st 2 r hp2 and doesnt burn in the topend and leaves less oil in the bottomend

Another never ending thread . I'll just keep running what works for me , I think it's mostly a feel good thing with some and for others maybe fact to them .

Residual oil is a product of ratio and how the engine was operated when it was shut down.
I assure you I could make any engine with any oil soak the bottom end in oil.
And given the above it's another pro to running something like 32:1 vs 50:1. More protection from corrosion.

Both set of pics were of wot and shut off several times. Alil more idling on the set of r2 pics

Both set of pics Ben were of a mtronics 241c with 87 e free both cutting cookies at wot and shut off at wot. No 2 ways around it the 2r burns less rich in the topend and the bottomend has more residual

I see no need at all to burn thoso upper end high viscosity oils in my 241c . The 2r looked better all around top and bottom
