Only way to know is to conduct timed cuts with YOUR saw. It's that simple. You can theorize all you want. Test your saw then you'll know. I deal in facts not theories.
Square peg won't fit in a round hole no matter how hard you try. Better to start at the start and use the right stuff.

If u measured the top and bottom volumes to get a true ratio u would be suprised how little of a ratio u really have on that saw.
Just test different octanes in your saws then you'll know. It's that simple. It'll be faster or slower. It's not hard. You can theorize all you want but until you test different octanes you'll never know. Even if 110 is faster in my 660 again I'm not using it. I'll run 93 non-E....it's cheaper.

Your dreaming if you think you need 110 in a chainsaw.
I've already proved it's faster in my saw compared to 93. I'll test again to verify but I don't know why. I don't plan on using $9/gallon fuel. Have you ever tested a ported 90cc saw with Sunoco 110? If not, you're only guessing.

I believe u r putting way too much emphasis on 1 simple test with a few cuts to have a final conclusion. Too many variables invloved also. Test in a cant next time and it will be as consistent as a human is probably capable of. On my videos at 3.5% difference and the horrible cutting techniques I was using ill call that test a wash my own self

Just because you think it's faster doesn't meen its needed.
And time cuts is a scientific circle jerk.. so much so that I put about zero weight in them.
I am not guessing that Sunoco 110 is a terrible fuel for a two stroke. It's very evident based on its physical properties.

Well next time do ten timed cuts instead of four then you might have a more representative conclusion. Don't make excuses if you don't like the results.

I definitely don't need it just like I don't need my Krieger barreled 7STW that shoots 0.20MOA for deer hunting. But it works better.
Would you use a round nose bullet that averaged 2 moa in your STW? Because that's essentially what your doing with Sun 110.

10 is not a valid sample size given the variability involved.

I ran a couple gallons of 110 leaded race fuel in my saws a few years back because I was trying to get away from ethanol and it was the only feasible option at the time. The saws became hard to start and I actually bridged a sparkplug or two. I assume that was lead deposits but I don't really know. Some of the problem could have been tune but I think the 110 just wasn't suitable for my saws.

I mistakenly hit "like"..lol. So all these GTG's means nothing and the winner is a fluke. You're saying all these members on this site that has won a GTG wasn't valid? What do you think they do at these GTG's.....connect them to a dyno to determine the winner?

You're a smart guy. Don't overthink it. Just test different octanes and make your own conclusions. I listen but I have to prove or disprove ideas myself. I don't see any sense in running racing fuel firewood cutting but if it's faster in your saw I'd use at a GTG or betting on a case of beer.
