That pic according to your post a while back, is actually yamalube 2r. See your post - http://opeforum.com/threads/what-oil-is-best-and-what-ratio.98/page-36#post-18898

honda may not clean like schaeffers but it sure looks freakin clean. That was after 12 tanks.

pint. haven't gotten down there yet. Don't even know if they have the black bottle stuff.
That pic was r2. I had them backwards in my original post and Ron660 caught it

I had my 064 apart today replacing a crank bearing and was surprised at how clean it was,it has many gallons through it of only benol, forgot to take a picture.

It has a thin dry flakey carbon layer on the crown and in the chamber, squish band is clean and the muffler can is dry.

It was much nicer than I expected.
I will say that it's always tuned right and always ran hard so I'm sure that helps.

I had them backwards in the 1st post. Read 3 post down when Ron660 ask and I corrected myself as the 1st 2 pic were r2 and the last 2 were hp2 which didnt burn completely at all and was wet. R2 in my 241 looked similar to Schaffers in your 661 in wash patterns and dry. As for the original techniplate I run 42to1 and it burns completely in everything I run it in. Ill be getting a new 562xp in a few days and plan on running original at 42to1 and we will compare what your 661 looks like on it compared to what autotune does with it
A 562 will burn most anything cleanly.

Rebull, I think if you ran Schaeffers long term you woukd find significantly more deposits. The stuff isn't magic and the fact remains that ashless dispersal technologies as used in marine type oils don't work at all above 300 degree ring belt temps. It's for this reason that the OPE OEM'S so to not run tcw3 marine oils.

An oil that won't burn clean at 32:1 doesn't interest me at all. Essentially what you are doing is trying to band aid something that won't combust properly by using less of it.

The only oil I've used that wouldn't burn is super technoplate and r50.

As far as the clean part mine are black and dry,is that clean? There has to be carbon if it's burning but if there's carbon it's dirty?

My 064 has many many gallons through it,what should it look like?

In defense of kl200 its also not a good idea for comparison to produce results from a saw that had a problem and was pouring fuel in it. It looked better with Schaffer and Im interested to see the kl200 again. It may produce the same results but I doubt it as all the saws Ive torn down with Klotz was burning the oil

I'd like to get @tree monkey to open up his 440. We did the math on it...has well over 1,000 gallons through it. All run on schaeffers 32:1. In fact he runs schaeffers 32:1 in all of his 2 stroke equipment. No issues in 20+yrs.

did read 3 posts down...

I haven't seend a piston covered running hp2. always have seen wash. So that would agree with the piston pic you posted showing wash. Not the one covered.

In any case. Saw is back together and I have klotz 42:1 mixed up and ready to go. Just need some time to go run it through the saw.
IMO Redbull if it has wash marks its rich, wont combust, or little runtime. I still like to see the different oils compared without much runtime as I feel u can get an idea how the oil will combust or not

Carbon is a byproduct of combustion? No carbon tells me the oil isnt combusting completely or the oil is full of additives??

My Internet has been off a bit for a week now. However, I did just try to download one here and it worked. Size was 1.8MB. Maybe turn your settings down to under 2 MB and it'll work. ? Not sure

It's something to do with the site because I haven't changed anything.
