Certifications are ok to a point ,but just means it meets their standards ,I feel the same way about mechanics with the ase patches that means something ,all it means is they paid to take a multiple choice test and the eventually passed it and got a patch for their shirt ,i know many good mechanics i would hire before a lot of the ase ones ,same with oils .
A mechanic is a rare thing anymore.
Lots of parts changers.

I think oil certifications are a bit more than a multiple choice test.

I broke this one in yesterday in the log woods, not sure how much time I ran it but less than a few tanks I'd say.
Pulled it apart to check out everything and locktite everything down.

I was using it topping and bucking so it was up and down alot which is why there's almost no carbon.
Muffler is dry

I learned from being poor and not having new parts so I had to fix it with what I had, getting a new part wasn't a option.
I replace with new now but what I learned from not being able to do that is invaluable.
It's nice to see something that's broke and be able to fix it without ordering parts.

ok cracked a couple of ribs the other day screwing off water skiing. So against my doctor's orders I put 4 tanks of schaeffers through the 661 today. Had to get my chainsaw fix...I'm sure you can all relate. : )

for those who haven't been keeping up on this.

First - this is saw after 7 tanks on klotz original techniplate 36:1

Next - this is saw after 3-4 tanks of honda hp2 36:1

and here is today - saw after 4 tanks of schaeffers 32:1 (i think it runs best at 32:1 and it's a thin oil and that is what @tree monkey runs it at)

*note: at the request of @mdavlee I shut the saw off right after the last cut. No idle time til shut down. (Normally I let them idle for 10-15 sec before shut down)

Looks like it will eventually cover the piston with carbon? Here is a pic of hp2 at 32to1 ran in my ported 241c at wot cuts and shut down in mid cutmoments_10203888886743122_hi_res.jpg

The thinner oil pooled more in the bottom end. About what I expected on the skirts. There's more like what you have on he skirts as the saw is running. With idle time and lower rpm more of it is retained on there.

Thanks for doing all this testing Redbull. Hope you heal quick I enjoy your videos. I've been running hp2 recently and have been pretty happy with it.

ok man. Klotz up next! What ratio were ya thinkin?

That pic according to your post a while back, is actually yamalube 2r. See your post - http://opeforum.com/threads/what-oil-is-best-and-what-ratio.98/page-36#post-18898

honda may not clean like schaeffers but it sure looks freakin clean. That was after 12 tanks.

pint. haven't gotten down there yet. Don't even know if they have the black bottle stuff.
I had them backwards in the 1st post. Read 3 post down when Ron660 ask and I corrected myself as the 1st 2 pic were r2 and the last 2 were hp2 which didnt burn completely at all and was wet. R2 in my 241 looked similar to Schaffers in your 661 in wash patterns and dry. As for the original techniplate I run 42to1 and it burns completely in everything I run it in. Ill be getting a new 562xp in a few days and plan on running original at 42to1 and we will compare what your 661 looks like on it compared to what autotune does with it
