That's what Treemonkey was saying forever. In all the stuff I've tested it's been true.
Ya I guess one has to have a basic knowledge of 2 stroke principles and combustion process before it makes sense that high octane isnt the same concept in saws as in a vehicle. The response time to detonate isnt there even with our timing advanced? I heard Jason say he took his 066 out to .050 off the key and it doesnt detonate at 240psi compression??!! 87 for me. The quality of say VP93 vs pump 87 efree does linger in my mind though

800 off-road?

I think it was R50. He'll have to answer for sure.

How much fuel through that one?

It is both
I mix 800 off road and R50 together (50/50) running 5oz per gallon
I really am not sure how much time was on it or how many gallons anymore.
I did know, but I have forgotten since then.
I run a few 90cc saws at the same time, but IIRC, thats well over 5 gallons, probably closer to 10 gallons with that mix in that saw

I did a little work to the cylinder while it was apart ............. she gained some :coleman:

Mopar would u say the mtronics runs lean or rich on topend? That buildup and wash looks about spot on to me?

She usually starts out fat, then runs strong,
In this video she was temporarily wearing an 8 tooth .404 setup
Her normal life is 36" with a 7 tooth and square filed .404

So whenever I start a cut, she is allways fat due to the m-tronics remembering her last few cut parameters

I have got a good plan for this one too, I just need another cylinder.
I like the aftermarket one that Randy posted about ............ I might grab one soon

I'll look and see if it was in the message with the pictures. Hopefully this afternoon I'll get to make a few more cuts with the HP2 at 20:1 or whatever it ended up at. Might get 1 or 2 more 5' long cuts.

I don't know, it was a stock ms 460 that I ported. Low hour saw also.
There was 5 460's that were bought the same day and used very little, ported all of them and that was the only one that was, the original piston in my red light 066 has the crown eat off of it also but those are the only ones I've ever seen.

They all blend after a while

The fuel begins evaporating as soon as it enters the carb throat and continues to evaporate, leaving oil behind, throughout the crankcase and into the combustion chamber .............. the whole time it is evaporating and leaving oil.

Most of the oil that makes its way to the combustion chamber is burned off, the oil that is not burned is exhausted out the muffler. This evidence is seen when you witness wetness at the muffler exit and usually on any seams or flanges
