up to 93oct eth free pump gas.
Something about specific gravity of race gas not being high enough in the cold to keep everything in suspension. So pump gas only.

Anytime it gets really cold I error on the side of caution anyway and give the can a shake.

* this probably only applies to colder than 35F. I think that is what they said their BeNol (all castor) product could go down to. I called specifically about Super Techniplate. (which has 20% benol castor)

Call their tech line if you have questions. Very helpful. 260-490-0489
I would think the VP SEF fuel is safe. 110 turbo blue and others like, the I wouldn't try.

Question ? If everything is covered in wet oil ,and oil pooling in the bottom of case ,would that be not combusting all the oil efficiently ?
I didn't say it was pooling in the case, everything has a nice slimy coat on it.

I tear down stihls that live on stihl oil at 50:1 and there dry as a bone, I don't know how they last as long as they do.

Theory around AS forever now is the short stroke of the saws doesnt give the saw time to detonate and the lower octane ignites sooner and gives the mix longer to burn more completely resulting in more power is my understanding. Thus 87 making the most power
Didn't you test several octanes in your MM 362 after I tested 93 and 110 in my 660? Best I remember what you told me, and videos you sent me, 87 was the slowest.

I don't know how fuel that's less flammable can make anything faster, all it does is alow you to run more timing and compression without detonating.

The lowest octane you can run without detonating will make the most power

Look at Keith's videos of his MM ported 362 using 94 and 87 both mixed with 32:1. 94 was a lot faster.

It must be detonating on 87 for 94 to gain that much. Every saw is different but mine are slower above 91 but I love the smell of race fuel.

I thought about it ,if it was pooling you would have excess exhaust smoke normally and that would be a carb adjustment .

I don't mind if a oil is dirty as long as it protects, I've tried a few and I like how the klotz super keeps things oiled.

I think a lot of the deposits are from the gas not the oil, since I started using vp fuel I notice a cleaner inside.

I tune my saws everytime I use one, if you want the most power you have to.

I don't like the idea of set it and forget it.
You can take a strong saw and tune it poorly and make a turd out of it.

94 octane was around 75% faster than 87.
Timed them again. 94 was only 3.5% faster than 87 out of four cuts. I accidentally timed 3cuts for 94 and 4cuts for 87. Actually it was very close. I corrected/edited my statement posted on Keith's videos.
