I ran the pee out of some echo red armor today. 40:1 in my dolmar and 32:1 in my big stihl. Nothing blew up man was other hot.
If I get ambitions I may pull the muffler on the 6100 to take a peek.

What kind of sand? And what ratio? There's silica sand, beach sand, ice control sand, mason sand...the list is endless. Not to mention how much of each to use.

Oil is boring
Remove filter, hold throttle wide open, and grab a handful of sand or gravel fines and throw it in!

sadly did not run any saws this weekend, going to mix up some fuel tomorrow though. Pretty intrigued to see how the super techniplate will do compared to Benol. In theory it should burn a tad cleaner but I wonder on how it will do lubricity wise at 40:1

Comparing Klotz oils is going to be tough mainly due to how much klotz benol already leaves behind at 50:1

Was stuck doing some customer work on Friday night to about 2 in the am.

Went to the saw shop Saturday to help out and re charged for tomorrow today.

I just want an oil good enough that I can use my favorite saws year after year and not stink and burn my eyes and noes.
I think the smell of the Dolmar synthetic oil is better then the red armor.

this would assume that all 2t oil is created equally. ie. dumping 4oz of xyz oil, is the same as dumping in 4oz of abc oil.

The evidence seems to be stacking up contrary to this belief or as some I'm sure would would argue...fact.
Only in the chainsaw world....

So, without reading 203 pages of this, is there any where online that y'all would recommend buying the red armor oil? Seems as if nobody around here sells it.

I would guess amazon and eBay would be able to find cheaper shipping.
I don't know which site sponsors sell it.
I would be willing to ship you some but I bet shipping would be close to $10 or so.
