Use the cheapest fuel and oil in your saws and they'll still work. Ask a Logger. They cut more in two weeks than we cut in a year.He is gonna tell u the same as everyone else . Low octane= more power, klotz is some of the best oil he has used, and there is suppose to be carbon on the piston!!!
What's "to long"? After that's defined, run the saw on the higher octane until it's adjusted or calibrated. Easy fix.

Lol! I think we have determined that most oils are adequate. I recently started using amsoil saber since I'm starting to port saws. I've never seen a failure though due to oil. I bought the benol cuz I'm not crazy about the saber smell, it's not bad, but Jason says benol smells great.

Just because you didn't like the results doesn't mean it wasn't valid. Were Redbull's results also invalid?
Your test was consistent with Redbull's. How long did you let your saw idle or run on each octane before making the cuts?
But 93 was slower than 91 but 91 faster than 87. U r misconstruing thoso tests to fit your agenda. I would believe his test over mine that we r referring to but I could follow through with a more reliable test now but its a waste of my time. In his test we r talkin about less than .5 sec
Maybe a mtronic saw performs better with less oil due to its design. Only a guess.
