Some of you might bust my stones for it but that full synthetic supertech from wally world runs really well in my 241 mixed at 42:1 , my trimmer seems to run well too.
Ive been using the Supertech/Citgo oil. I dont see anything wrong with it? Almost had no smell

The timed cuts isnt whats on my mind right now as much as the quality of the fuel and how does octane effect cleanliness and wash patterns
Use 800 (or a mix) and fuel from drums, not underground storage tanks, and you'll never need to worry about carbon deposits. Expensive but we don't use saws for a living. If I used saws for a living I'd use the cheapest non-E fuel I could find.

I've seen a few pics of Klotz which black carbon on the piston past the rings.
Carbon past the rings isn't a oil problem it's a ring problem.

I like to change rings every year,a saw will run forever without new one's but they wear out pretty fast.

I'm banging my head against a wall here but how can fuel that's less flammable make more power?

Octane is fuels resistance to detonatin, you want the lowest possible octane you can run without detonating and that will make the most power.

My tune has ranged from 13,500 to over 13,800 and all my piston looks like that. Actually all my pistons on the other saws look like that. Everyone will say you're to rich and the extra oil washed the piston clean. Maybe it's the quality of detergents in 800.
His piston has solid carbon except the wash marks though? Its not clean except alil on the sides

I'll post that fuel dyno test tomorrow. Must be on my work computer.

I've never seen that with any saw I've owned using 800 of course.
Heres another closeup of that piston on my 550. Look at the lube on the skirt and what u r calling carbon is more exhaust that will wipe right off with the finger. Its seated and not bowing by now but im at work or id take a pic

800t with 87 efree at 32to1 in a ported 461 tuned to 14600 to 14800 loaded with a 28" bar. Looks to be combusting but there was more carbon but I wiped it before the picture as some came offView attachment 19548
Use it again in your 390 and 064 then take a pic. Do the same with your Klotz. Top end and lower end pic. Both at 32:1.

What in the hammering hell does one fuel test mean?

I've spent my entire life building saws and race cars and around performance mechanics and every single one will tell you 87 octane will make the most power.

All you do is get on here and talk about how awesome your stuff is and how terrible everyone else's stuff is,around here we call people like that *a-holes!

Nobody else bashes anybodys stuff, only you.

Incredibly annoying

Heck im tired of all this taking apart. When I test it will be in the hybrid just because its simple to remove the cylinder quickly
