i failed chemistry in high school lol so im kinda surprised i even understood viscosity and flash point.
That is the exact explanation the tech at Maxima gave me on K2 a few years agoThis is why I went with K2 over 800.
Lol!!!Your lucky he doesnt have your number..
He gives u hell Ryan?Your lucky he doesnt have your number..
I buy it by the 55 gal drum. I've got 3 right now. If you decide you want some I'll look into shipping it.Rc shop might have everything I need. If not I'll search a little harder. If you don't lie it's hazmat which adds about $20 to shipping.
Did you have to retune between the two octanes? The only one was a 390xp. It was 215-220. I didn't get anything but sluggish response with the 110. The 395 hated it milling and it was 190 lbs.
The same refinery that furnishes the base oil for the stihl orange bottle oil also does pure guard and royal purple. Pure guard and the stihl orange bottle oil is also blended at the same plant. Both the refinery and blending/packaging plant are in Shreveport, LA. Both are within 10 miles of my home. I used the orange bottle stihl oil in a MS390 for 8 years with no issues. Glad I never looked at the piston.I buy it by the 55 gal drum. I've got 3 right now. If you decide you want some I'll look into shipping it.
oreilly auto parts masterpro 2 cycle oil is blended and bottled by them also. The same refinery that furnishes the base oil for the stihl orange bottle oil also does pure guard and royal purple. Going from 93 to 110 mine dropped only 200-300 rpms best I remember.Yes. Big change. Rpm drops over 1k rpms from 87 to 110.
Pure guard I have isn't synthetic it's just like the orange bottle stihl oil. The Loggers I know that use it have been mixing 6.4 oz bottles with 2 gallons of fuel to get 40:1. They say their saws last longer on 40:1 compared to 50:1.the oreilly oil carries a FC rating and has stabilizer in it and says it is synthetic blend.
I use chemistry everyday on my job but I'm still learning here.i failed chemistry in high school lol so im kinda surprised i even understood viscosity and flash point.
my job requires a strong back and energy.I use chemistry everyday on my job but I'm still learning here.
87 to VP 94 was 700 rpms. I think I posted all of that in this thread early on. The stock 064 I had at the time wouldn't turn 12k with the 110 without leaning it out to .5 turn on the H.Going from 93 to 110 mine dropped only 200-300 rpms best I remember.
Brian some dont understand the top and bottom capacities that r measured to derive the ratio r different in a saw compared to a vehicle with high psi. U cant use a baseline chart for a octane/psi chart for a car to compare to a saw not knowing your ratio and assuming it? I think it would be easy for someone to pull a octane/psi chart for a vehicle off the internet with 14to1 compression ratio to a saw @8to1 the chart wouldnt apply to a saw? And the chart surely doesnt work if u havent measured your ratio and guess? These work saws have too short of a stroke to have time to detonate and have any benefit from high octaneOk question here ,a hopped up bad ass chainsaw that scares women and children when it is started may have 230 psi for example ,i bet it still does not have more than 8 to 1 compresion which 87 octane would be fine for ,the 110 race cas burns too cool making wasted fuel not being made into energy out the exhaust kind of like some bike oils are doing in the saws. The saws just do not have enough power nor generate enough heat to benefit from these fancy fuels and oils ????
