Residual oil is a product of ratio and how the motor was operates prior to shutdown. Oil brand really doesn't have much of any influence on this.
The other parameter your using is totaly subjective in nature.
I agree 100%.

If someone came here to find out what is the most suitible oil to run in their saws, I think they'd be in trouble and exit the thread confused with a headache.

Do you have any saws pushing over 210psi? If so, I'd like to see if your results were different than mine.
The only one was a 390xp. It was 215-220. I didn't get anything but sluggish response with the 110. The 395 hated it milling and it was 190 lbs.

I've got plenty of methanol if your ever out my way. I'm not sure about shipping it? Is it legal to ship? I'm not sure but dry gas may be pure methanol as well.
Rc shop might have everything I need. If not I'll search a little harder. If you don't lie it's hazmat which adds about $20 to shipping.

here is theory saws that use oil that have a lower viscosity and flash point will make better power than other oils that have a higher viscosity and flash point. as the oil that is burning with the gasoline will produce more BTU's than the other other that is not being burnt and left behind in the engine.
that is the way my little pea size brain understands this.

You can always justify another saw.

This is why I went with K2 over 800.
