I run 87 in saws that have almost 250lb of compression. My 066 didn't want to shut off once after a long cut so I switched to 91

What are the limits of 87 octane vs compression in a saw? I'm sure it would vary by some by engine design and porting. What's the highest anyone's ran on 87?

Keith, what parameters are you using to judge oil performance?

Well here are the pics.... it looks like injestion, but some of that is from pulling the jug and having some dirt appear.

There is no dirt inside the carb or intake pathways.


you can see where the ring kind of moved.
