Yes dark roast but a clean sweet aftertaste. LolI heard the Dolmar synthetic is good stuff. Not readily available around me. That's a dark roast, right?
Ive been using the Walmart Supertech Full Synthetic in customers OPE. So far I really like itFrom all my readings the Dolmar 100% oil. It is Citgo and same as the 100% Supertech - Baileys oils from all the readings.
I have never been able to find a msds for the Dolmar synthetic.Post that was in the dolmar oil thread. = This includes Dolmar, Husqvarna, Poulan, Bailey's, Walmart etc. At one time the MSDS sheets for these packaged oils listed CITGO as their base stock oil source.
Dolmar Baileys and another one had exact same MSDS sheets.
Thought u and Mike were cuttin today?I maintain 40+ saws from a single logging/sawmill outfit that only uses the blue bottle Walmart oil and it's excellent oil. For real.
I would have no problem running it in my saws.
They run it at 40:1 with 87 pump gas.
Most saws they have are ported
Hope the 661 is out socializing lolThought u and Mike were cuttin today?
Ive only ran 2 661s. 1 with a MM that pulled a 32" bar buried like a locomotive and 1 port3d one from Randy that we put a 20" bar on that was mean as heck!!Hope the 661 is out socializing lol
Sent from my non internal combustion device.
Excellent post. That shows us again it's the quantity of oil not the perceived quality of oil.I maintain 40+ saws from a single logging/sawmill outfit that only uses the blue bottle Walmart oil and it's excellent oil. For real.

Most on here say a rich tune will leave a clean piston. I disagree and say it's the quality of detergent in the oil. I've seen a few pistons lately that were tuned very rich and looked like yours ran on stihl ultra. This is the 660 I'm sending Dave. Is this piston wash from being too rich? I was trying to err on the rich side as I had just installed a dual port cover and was still tuning it. The insides looked really well lubed with only a hint of dampness in the exhaust . Stihl silver at 50:1.View attachment 19228
I disagree. Ive been in several saws and blowers to see how much Klotz oil leaves in the bottomends at 42to1 compared to other oils at 32to1. Its just that simple. Its enough to be very noticeable and I cant tell anybody why Klotz does but its to do with the oil and not the ratio. Most other oils I would agree that ratio would be the factor but not with KlotzExcellent post. That shows us again it's the quantity of oil not the perceived quality of oil.
