You could get a 23 (40 cal) and also a 9mm conversion barrel + a few 9mm mags. Just swap barrel and mags and your shooting one or the other.

You can even go a step further and get a G32 barrel (.357sig) - those will work out of your G23 40 cal mags.

From there it's just a decision between gen 3 and gen4

gen 3 - I like the talon grip tape on the gen3 frame/grip.
gen4 - grip is pretty good from factory and you can adjust the size of the grip. I think the magazine release is better design on the gen4. I think the dual recoil spring is a better spring as well vs the gen3.

------------------------------------------

The main difference between the G23 and G19 is how wide the breach is cut on the slide. The barrel hood of the .40 is a little wider. So to do the conversion barrel they make a 9mm barrel with a wider hood.

Other differences would be the extractor and ejector.

I've been shooting my conversion barrel for years with out a single problem.

Here is a vid I did years ago - Glock 23 (gen3) with 9mm conversion barrel threaded shooting suppressed.

Hi julanzo

I dont know what those numbers mean , could you teach me about guns please..and thanks for the pics last night.

Sincerely ,

Abdullah

Didnt the FBI adopt the 9mm again?

So I read . . . after spending millions on the development of, and arming with the 10mm . . . which they then had to de-load for some of their agents, because of the recoil. All that after demanding more firepower, owing to that shooting in Florida (I think) (many years back). I had a friend at Quantico, who asked about why the need for the 10mm, all things considered (meaning there really was no need, as evidenced). FBI was buying pistols and ammo by the boxcar loads, literally. He was told, "Because we're the FBI, and we can." So, now they're back to the 9mm, where this all started. Your governmental boondoggle (is there any other kind?) for the day.

I hear u! I like all pistol calibers from 22 to sw500. 40 probably being the best rounded caliber imo but choosing a caliber and practice and being efficient with shot placement is important. I had a guy ask me if I had a pistol for sale and I said yes this stainless Walther PPK 380 that i had on me . He said thats too small and I said, "Ok back up against the wall and let me shoot u in the eye and tell me if its big enough??!!":cunaooooo:

Yes and so did the state here.

I started doing some deep research big time. Because we were trading in our G23's that was only 3 years old for G19's.
I wanted to know why. Lot of good info on it. Had alot to do with the new 147gr rounds out there to choose from.

It actually made me go and pick up a new 9 as I would have never done that in years past.
