well it rides the floor board with a box of deer slug near by im not worried. It probably wont do u any good behind the seat if somebody walks up to your window up to no good?
I shot a 410 like that!! Hell ya it has snort!! A 410 Judge had nothing on it
It probably wont do u any good behind the seat if somebody walks up to your window up to no good?
Man if u r ever over this way give me a ring and u can borrow a pistol!! LolIn Australia we just punch each other and then got for a beer....... loser shouts.
Don't get me picked for an anti gun nut cause I have been shootin guns since I was 10 and love them, have protested against government restrictions etc, but the thought of needing a 12g behind my seat or my wife needing a concealed 9mm in her hand bag for protection really is scary.
I am in no way questioning gun ownership so dont shoot me down (someone ring the pun bell) but what worries me is that society over there has got to a state where good people feel the need to carry them. That is the worry.
To me they are a hobby. I love em but I dont ever feel the need to carry one with me to the supermarket to buy groceries.
Are things really that bad or is the protection line just a cover for them being really cool?
Deets, I would LOVE to have a go of that Derringer!
Gorgeous!
Lol!! If u fuel that 660 fire and come over here u may need a ball bat instead of a saw!!Yeah, like I said, nothing against guns, its the society that makes good people need to carry them that concerns me.
Kieth, I cant see myself ever making it to America (exchange rate sucks), but if I am ever there I will be looking a few of you up.
I will borrow Ron's 660 and go race Jay
Try some Klotz KL-200. I believe u will like it. I like it at 42to1 in my saws but that may be a good bit in trimmers and blowers. I took my Stihl BG85 apart yesterday after running it at 42to1 and the bottomend was soakin wet and alil wet comin out the muffler. When I tore it down behold a clean piston top!!! Lol!! Probably have to run it @ 50to1 in the yard equipmentHey, did I mention I have ordered some Klotz Motol
Is it any good?
Does it have zink in it? I hear it makes the chain rust
Thats enough trolling from me...... I will get back to learning about stuff instead
I have seen a 261 that was ran with no bar oil and the bar was blue and flat at the nose which heated the clutch bearing that disentigrated and eventually dropped the clutchside main bearing that let the piston get in the cylinder. At least thats what I blamed it on!! LolOh........ that reminds me of a conversation I had with a bloke selling a dead 044
It was advertised as needing a new P&C as the original one was badly scored.
He wanted hundreds of dollars for it and I offered him $50 or $100 ....cant remember.
He replied saying the saw was worth more than that because the rest of it was perfect.
I replied that in my experience, an old saw usually needed new hoses, seals, gaskets and possibly bearings as I did not know why the motor was stiffed hence my low offer.
I stated that if it was burnt out it was for a reason like a bad air leak or strait fuel and would need a full rebuild.
He replied to me with this:
No doubt you are familiar with two stroke engines as I myself are. I know why it seized. I was cutting a large, and mostly dry ironwood log and run out of bar oil close to the end of the cut and pressed on. Alas too long. In the ad I explained that the rings were stuck in their grooves in a couple of places and the bore is scored. So the original barrel and piston are stuffed. I dismantled it and freed things up and got it running again but it is way down on power. It wont be leaving here for less than the asking price.
So no bar oil killed the motor
I replied saying that no bar oil would wear the bar and chain but not hurt the motor.
I received no further replies
Try the Klotz and let us know? Interested to hear your findingshaha, I called Benol Motol
I rang a couple motorcycle places but all they stocked was Motol and said people were ringing asking for Klotz but they had never heard of it.
I told them to start stocking it!
The hobby place I am getting the benol from has KL200 on the shelf but I want to try a non synthetic oil.
I may pick up a bottle of the KL200 as well, just for the hell of it.
I might start mixing my Stihl ultra in with my bar oil in the saw to get rid of it
Overworking a saw with no bar oil and or a dull chain can produce enough heat to Roach a piston.Oh........ that reminds me of a conversation I had with a bloke selling a dead 044
