Just talked with the tech at Klotz. He said the 13000 would be a happy safe medium for customers and would protect substantially past 13000 depending on application. I explained to him our application in ported saws and cutting from 10000 to 13000 in the cut and his recommended oil for us was Benol @ 36to1 and that u could use a lower ratio with the Benol over the synthetics. He also said the wax buildup with Benol was very good for our bottomends. For cant racing he recommened Super Tech

Lol!! Man I dont have a clue. The tech told me he like Benol the best of their oils. He like the wax coating it leaves. He said it would be light brown in appereance like what was on top of your piston

You guys realize the extra money spent on special fuel and oil after a while the savings using cheap stuff would buy you another saw before it is wore out right ?

Very true but I use Amsoil in my car and bike as well and my dealer gives me a good deal on it .
He's a fairly local Husky dealer and he promotes all his saw buyers including loggers use it at 40:1 with non ethanol Shell V power 91 .

Klotz is cheaper than stihl oil and I give 1.89 a gallon for my gas

You can always justify another saw.

You guys wanna put some money on them Wackers?

I got a fs250 that takes no prisoners
FS250R rules the big trimmer world. :campeon:If your man enough to carry it, nothing should be left standing when your done. I was smart enough to buy two before they dropped them.

There are considerable tradeoffs to using castor in a saw.
It doesn't like to stay mixed, especially in cold weather, it has poor corrosion protection and actually attracts water and it burns very dirty. Further it's not needed in a saw given the minimal HP and load.

I've ran 927 in bikes and quads for years. It runs like crap in ope. Smells delightful though. Reminds me of my days at the track.
