Ive been running alota different saws Ive built over the last 2 yrs and used alota oils but I do like what I see internally with Klotz compared to all other. I still havent tried the Mobil 1 or Dumonde but think ill clean the piston on the hybrid and run 1 or the other for 4 tanks and see what she looks like. I got it apart today dyeing the tank/handle black20160409_084659.jpg

Just posting a couple things with the mobil 1 ,i had 2 saws it sat in over the winter ,aprox 6 months ,went to use them and the carbs were gummed up ,had to be cleaned to idle and rev again, i look for stabilizers in an oil now ,i have several ope tools that get used just once in a while so that is a plus for me .Not knocking the mobil ,the exhaust smell is one of the most least offensive of any oil i have burned ,but the gas went bad from sitting .

I think you should try dolmar synthetic or red armor. So you can tell me how great they are. Actually better not because if they are not up to snuff I will always feel inadequate!

needs some salt and pepper and a hint of bay leaves for that to taste good.

You'll lose performance when you're running syrup for a fuel mix . Running anything richer than 40:1 mix has no gains and unless your carb is adjusted/jetted correctly for extreme rich mixes you can have seizing issues as well , I don't care how much oil you have in the fuel .
A good oil-fuel mix needs to break down and atomize at intake , excessive oil slobbering oil the exhaust or pooling in the crankcase isn't really a good sign and will cause other issues at some point .
You want to see a clean burn and a nice film of oil coating the internals , not gobs of it .
And in the end that result doesn't really matter what oil you use but use non ethanol fuel , that's important no matter .

i had stuff slobber the exhaust running 50:1 or 40:1 no matter how it is tuned i got a 223l husqvarna and they were notorious for doing.
my lawnboy slobbers a little with any mix but the carburetor is fixed anyway.

Another thing to think about is what you are inhaling into your lungs out there when cutting , an oil mist blowing out the exhaust is good for you ??

Havent seen any pooling with Klotz but would u please explain what harm more than a light coat in the crankcase will harm?

No harm but maybe slow it down a little??

Maybe like filling a pool to your ankles and trying to run and then filling it to your knees and trying to run.

Just thinking here....

Im not sure Chris. I would think alil more than a light film wouldnt hurt anything as long as its oil. If u get too much unvaporized fuel in the bottomend then u would wash the bearings instead of lubricate them?

The objective would be for the oil to migrate to the internals from the vaporized fuel and lubricate the bottom and any oil that migrates along with the fuel to the topend combust and burns off and doesnt impede combustion. In my eyes an indicator that the most complete combustion that is obtainable and occuring would be indicated by a byproduct of the combustion process being carbon on top of the piston. A dry exhaust would be a good indicator of desired combustion and tune. Just my opinion guys

Not sure if this was mentioned but it is 28 degrees on the hill today, decided to try out a fresh filed chain on the 7900, wanted to see if my rakers were set right. Found some 22'' cherry and burned half a tank.

Even being this cool outside the Benol was not seperated from the fuel, I usually agitate the can of mix anyways but between the gusts and the smell of cherry and Benol it was a blast.

Need to lower the rakers a bit, the 441 will self feed with it's current round chain, the dolmar not so much. Lol

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

That's why I quit running the Stihl orange bottle stuff. It equaled a massive headache for me. Now I'm running yamalube 2r and even my kids have mentioned that it smells good. I'm going to try Klotz 200 and see what they say. I remember as a kid/teenager thinking that it smelled good, but I never ran it in my atv's because I mostly ran 4 stroke 4 wheel drives.
