What oil is best? and what ratio?

The bike oil i use is cheaper than stihl oil. I'm still trying to figure out what you guys think is a dirty oil and why that matters. Should my piston top be hard and crusty or soft and gooey or Shiney and clean? I know what I like to see.

U will never come to a conclusion on that one with everyone. I guess it depends on if u wanna run super rich and wash the topend ? I wanna see the bottom wet and the top dry all the way through the exhaust myself.

Wet in the bottom and dry on the top is how I think it should be.

I think the problem is understanding the combustion process and whats suppose to happen there may be the misunderstanding sometimes?

Should be fine for the 421, I'm just concerned about the 562 and 681. FD means "Fits Dolmars" right?

It's some major dark stuff, that's for sure.

It's actually a very dark green, and under intense light it is redish, not the purple the pic shows.

Fd is the highest air cooled oil rating currently . Should burn clean and work in all your saws just fine

After reading all 124 pages I have concluded that Crisco is the best lube.
