I use Dominator @32:1 and have had good results, but am going to try Schaeffer's 9000 next at the same ratio.

I've used H1-R and HP2 previously. Both are very thick oils, which makes them hard to work with in winter, which I solely cut in. Red Armor is also a thick oil. Seems Schaeffer's 9000 is even thinner than Dominator.
I would stick with Dominator if it were me.
Hp2 is a low SAE 50w oil. H1R is a 40w oil and Red Armor is a 30w oil.
I've personally never had a problem with any of them mix ing cold weather. The only oils I have had problems with mixing is Maxima 927, Klotz super Techniplate and R50.

That’s a pretty solid recommendation coming from a guy who doesn’t really care for Amsoil‘s business practices😂
No secret I dont care for Amsoil's business practices. I also believe what you say about Dominator because you have been through enough motors to know.
When the choice involves a boat oil and a air cooled type oil, its a no trainer not to use the boat oil.

One trick for mixing gas in the winter is to put your pil bottle on the the windshield defroster of your truck. It mixes easier that way.

Schaeffer's 7000 is the "boat oil" you are referring to. The 9000 is not and is JASO FD rated.

If you apply that same logic to -THIS- post and -THIS- post, then you shouldn't have any issues with Schaeffer's 7000 either. Maybe you need to take your own advice. Both huskihl and treemonkey have been in their fair share of motors and treemonkey has been using Schaeffer's 7000 for decades going back to when he was a logger.
