Here's a few pics of SOME of my interests outside of saws, the truck, the boat and the old tractor (my grandfathers) are in the top 5. In addition to these are Winchester rifles, reloading ammo, hunting, fishing, camping, carpentry and what ever else may peak my interest along the way.View attachment 11455 View attachment 11456 View attachment 11457

How well does that Cub pull wood around? I have access to a few locally and hadn't thought about using one like that...
I like the Chevy very well as the truck I learned to drive in was an '87 1500 Scottsdale and my Wife wants me to build her an '85, as configured in your pic, but it has to be a stick and EFI. I married a good woman. We're also looking for a boat but more like a deck boat or a tri-toon...

It's actually not a cub, it's a Super A, which is bigger than a cub. It does fine with heaping wagon loads as long as you're on dry ground. If the trails are soft in the woods it doesn't have enough weight to find traction. She wants a stick and EFI? Keeper! Just so happens my truck is an 85'. Like you I have childhood memories of the older trucks. I grew up riding around in the back of a 76' blazer so I naturally must own an old square body. Ha ha. They get better looking every year. My wife wants me to build her an early 50's bubble fender with a big block...lol

We will eventually have 2. She will have a '85 short bed 1/2 ton 4x4 stick for her with a 350 or LS1. I want either a real, or the equivalent of the Army CUCV with either an 8.1l V8 gasser or a 4bt or a 6bt with a stick, mechanical winch, GN ball and a flatbed. That would make for a dynamite wood truck/(light duty) mud run vehicle and would be an excellent hunting truck.

I had almost forgotten how much I like sailing. While the off-base commander and I were in Cancun recently they had some Hobie Waves available at the time-share we were at. I had fun remembering how to read the wind and water currents while managing the main sail tension, lean and tiller... It was a lot of fun though and we got back to our point of origination in one piece, w/o assistance. One of these with a nice Genoa on decent water and wind and you'd have a little hot rod...

I look pissy but I was just starting to get a feel for her while dodging idiots on jet skis w/no comprehension of aquatic navigation nor right of way... That was a fun day.

Dodging rif-raf on the water can definitely be frustrating. A LOT of people either don't know or don't care about the rules or courtesies of the water.

I've got a few interests other than chainsaws, well maybe too many!View attachment 12639View attachment 12640 View attachment 12641View attachment 12642 View attachment 12643 Family and friends always take top priority!

Nice old Farmall you got there, I assume that is where you got your screen name?
What lighthouse was the family picture taken at?
The family looks great, your daughter looks like she is going to be a real heart breaker in a couple of years, you are in serious trouble my friend.

Onan is right. Bodie island this past summer.

I have an uncle that lives in Elizabeth City, do you have relatives in the area? Must have been a pretty good haul from PA.

I could post up pics of all those lighthouses in that area as well. Great places to vaca. Nice pics Wes.

No relatives in that area, just a summer vacation with a couple other families from my valley. It took about 9 hours to get to Rodanthe where we stayed, saw a lot of PA plates down there.

got up into the high country again on the weekend. different method of transportation this time.. using the mountain bike, with a fella from work. was fantastic but half killed me.

my mate had a few offs! usually its me on the ground.

yeah there were some tricky and steep sections we walked. cant see any steepness in this shot but it was and a tricky lead up to it.

never done so much climbing before.!!
