I voted for 262xp but the 562 i had was the smoothest saw i have ever ran. If the look of the new 5series ever grows on me i might vote differnet. I just cannot make myself like the new look. To spaceage contemporary and computerized. Rock on ported 262!!!

I'm pretty impressed with my 2159 after deleting the base gasket, muffler mod, opening up the lower transfers, cleaned and widened the intake, matched the intake manifold/bellow to the intake, and smoothed the exhaust up. My Treee Monkey 2153 is a little faster in small wood but not bigger stuff. I surprised how much torque it has for only 60cc

How's a 357 and 359 compare when both are ported

I just happen to have both and they are both ported. On my 359 I sent the jug to Randy to get the base and squish cut and I then did the porting myself, squish is a safe .023, on the 357 I did a base gasket delete and port job I don't remember the squish maybe .019. Both of them are very impressive with the 359 having more torque, this platform and the 346, 353 are the best saws I've run pound for pound. I voted 359 by the way.

I agree completely, all I seem to use for fire wooding is the 2159 and 2152 unless is too big for a 20" bar. Then I'll get the Tree Monkey 2186 and 288 for that and noodling. They are dam fun to run but those 2 little saw are so light and nimble are just as fun and a lot nicer to carry around than lugging
those other 2 beast around

Only have three models - ranked 1st WWS MS 361, 2nd stock 036Pro & 3rd stock MS 362. I've cut side by side with a 562 and was favorably impressed. Ron

Fort Scott 2015.JPG I really like the feel of 034's and 036's. I used an 039 for years that my Father bought and it paid for itself many times over. For a plastic clam-shell it was a hell of a saw and only quit when it burned up in a truck fire roughly 16 years after being purchased. I also lost a 55 Husky in that fire which was the first real saw that I ever bought which I miss for sentimental reasons... The Efco CS56 and 62 are dynamite saws as well. The Dolmar 6100 feels nice, but heavier than my 562xp. Friends have 357xps and 359s and they are damn fine saws and much better when ported.

Dad's ported 262xp in my sig line that Randy did for Him is an amazing saw. It's responsive, quick handling and is generally pissed at the world. It starts a bit hard when it hasn't been exercised in awhile, but after she pops the first time, it's game on. That brings me to my 562xp. It isn't ported yet, nor base gasket deleted and still has the decomp button (though not for long). It is hands-down my favorite saw for running all day between it's miserly consumption, powerband and amazing A/V it's my go to.

The 262 is more "fun" and the aforementioned saws are all VERY good but the 562 is it for me. I don't particularly care for the MS362 stock. I've yet to play with a ported one or a 362CM of either variety so the jury's out on that...
