I know the cases are the same.......but surely the stuffers take up some space. I'd figure the cranks might be a little different. No?
Cranks are the same. Same stuffers can be added or deleted from either.

I have a 357 crank here and a 359 crank. I also have a good 359 lower end that doesn't need splitting, except to swap cranks or add stuffers? Don't want to do it if not necessary?

Have a 359 with stock 357 top end now and it's unimpressive. Needs porting for sure and maybe stuffers?

Yes I have a 262 XP and am putting another together. But,I voted Dolmar 6100. Run real good stock ,handles well, has excellent build quality and is new not twenty years old with iffy parts availability .

only reason I didn't choose the 357 is bc it won't see fuel until it is ported this month. Kept it Nos so Kari would let me keep it in the house.:zplayita:

Oh I've ran a bunch of them..

Really nice saws

I have a few 262s and a couple 562s. I like those saws too.....but the 357XP just gives me a boner.

I have a few 359 carcasses.....maybe.......just maybe.
I got my 357 back together after I hacked it up other day and ran it seems good. Can't help to think what it would be like if I had sent it to be done right.I have a new Oem jug and when funds allow will be sending it to be done up right because its not giving me a boner yet.

Well......glad to know that Don. Good info for my cerebral file system. :)

I think those Husky engineers know exactly what they are doing. I'd add the stuffers if I could.
I'd like to tear into your cerebral file one of these days. See what I could download into my feeble mind. Got a box today... Thanks ! Off to the mountain for a test drive :car:

I think the 60cc segment is the most debatable, over crowded, most argued over, and disliked. There is also a wide range from homeowners, firewood saw, and professional.
That is why the Dolmar 6100 is the best choice. It is priced right to fit all of those markets, it is built to true pro standards, and runs like a scalded dog on a black tar road on an august afternoon. Oh and class leading fuel economy.

I forgot about the fuel thing. First thing I noticed with the 262 after the 6100. Even after leaning it out that Husky likes fuel. I liked the 6100 better for falling also.
