Too many projects on hand at the moment.

I try to keep some saws on hand "For Sale", mostly small stuff since the casual visitor likely just needs to trim a few branches. The 600 Series are big saws for most of the locals, and they are relatively fast movers. I also try to keep a smattering of other saws ready to go. Surprising but the PM6 and SP40 have their enthusiasts as well.

No, but somebody should make a 3D printed copy. Worth a try whether or not it works.

Some McCulloch bling I recently acquired. You may have seen this on eBay, I contacted the seller and was able to get it for a reduced rate. I am not sure what Richard V. Dempster's role was at McCulloch but his name appears on several documents I have in the R.V. Jackson file. Robert Vernon Jackson was an Engineer at McCulloch and R.V. Dempster was cc'd on some of R.V. Jackson's patent award letters.

Weird, looks like it could use an upgrade to breathe better.View attachment 293633
The set up in this pic is not complete. There should be (2) “L” shaped brackets used to support the rear of the filter. From the bottom of the two rear nuts of the filter to the two screws used to hold the on/off switch. It’s pretty important too. The two studs used to hold the carb (and everything attached to it) are screwed into a plastic adapter that is attached to the cylinder with (3) screws. The carb is not attached directly to the cylinder and the plastic adapter will eventually fail. I have several that are cracked. You should fix that.30E898F5-9905-4B83-BDDF-7D3A34F6D489.jpeg
This is a home made setup that a previous owner has installed. To do it right, and eliminate all stress at the intake block, mount the carb and air filter just like you have it. Then, slot the “L” brackets on the long leg for the screws that hold the switch on to go thru. Mount the short leg to the filter and the slot in the long leg will allow the screw to be tightened wherever it sits in the slot. And that’s where you want it. Putting no additional strain on anything and supporting the weight of the carb and filter.
My other saw has what I think are factory L brackets , it’s just a bit harder to get to .
