Vintage Chainsaw Museum

I posted a bit of this over in Another Site, thought I might as well go all out here.

I have a very understanding wife, and we have been blessed by God so when I proposed that I needed (wanted) to build a building to display my saws and a better workshop area for mechanical/welding/machine shop so my home garage and workshop could go back to woodworking and home repairs she agreed.

I found a city lot just down the block from my house, the lot is 25 x 140' so my building will be 23 x 118' and include a display area, library/office/kitchen/break room, and my new workshop.

I am hoping to start moving in around Thanksgiving, we shall see how the weather and the contractors cooperate.

Progress, plumbers got the drains all stubbed in.



After leveling, compacting, and a layer of sand they put down foam insulation.


The plumbers continued with the PEX for the radiant floor heat.


The trench drain in front of the shop/garage door. This area will also get insulation and tubing for radiant floor heat.

This is awesome! I know you’ve got a massive Mac collection, are you going to stick with that mainly? Showcase other brands periodically? I’ve got some nice Jonsereds I’d gladly put on long term loan.
