That bar will fit the older one man saws, some earlier ones had a 5/16" slot and later ones were 3/8. The three holes in the end will accept a stinger handle turning it into a two man saw. Evidently early customers were not convinced a chainsaw could be operated by one man so the added the stingers as an option. Once they used the saw a bit they figured out you could cut through a much larger diameter log with the handle removed.

I have been busy lately sorting through some parts I picked up from and implement dealer that sold McCulloch years ago. I can't find any photos right now but I will try to remember and post some when I stumble across them again.

I need to update the new shelves and saws I have on display as well. So much to do and so little time...

I found one photo in the McCulloch thread...I am through the small part bins now and starting on the boxes. Mostly small saw stuff, a little bit of 10 Series and just a few pieces for the older front tank saws.

As noted, I have added some shelves in the display area and have some saws cleaned up and moved in.

I had a visitor this week, Chris Theirof AKA The Duke of Traverse Creek. I called Chris a few weeks ago in regards to some Echo questions and he told me he was interested in coming out to make a video tour of the museum. In the meanwhile, I was presented an opportunity with a lot of McCulloch part in Pennsylvania through a Facebook post someone sent me. So, I not only had a personal visit from Chris and his cousin Evan, but he brought the load of parts with him a well.



Chris along brought some special gifts.



I've added them to the display.





I did not take any photos of the parts but sooner or later you can see Chris's video of our peak in a couple of boxes. There were many small, old parts and quite a collection of fasteners. All good stuff to add to my inventory.

I'm glad you called me that day about the Husky parts because it led to the trip out there. We should have a few videos out soon about it.

Mark, I thank you so kindly for your hospitality and for everything you shared with us there.

I'm glad you shared the picture of us, I was going to ask you to send it. I was so caught in the moment for our whole stay that I didn't hardly take any pictures.

What a whirlwind!

The art club from our local school is painting windows in town preparing for our big Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the 1st.

We have an interesting tradition here in Dike, Iowa with a rather large Christmas tree right in the middle of Main Street. This is just outside my building...that heart shaped reflection on the front of the building is the light on the large McCulloch sign.



There was quite a crowd in town last night for the tree lighting ceremony, we had between 150 and 200 people come through the museum for hot cider or hot chocolate. I was pretty busy meeting people and answering questions so I didn't get any photos of the activities.
