I had a pretty good week this week. Monday I went to see Struggle and came home with a full truckload. I had to take a couple of layers up to the attic just to see in the back of the truck.

Included in this group was a late model 7-10 and a Remington Super 75.

If anyone has a spare AF cover for the Remington please let me know.

Also on Monday, a friend sent me a link to an auction in Indiana. I started bidding without really paying attention to the details which included the auction ending on Wednesday at 5:30 PM with pick up in Indianapolis today...

Well, it worked out in any case.

I’m starting to think that this is not a 'museum' at all. Mark, as a friend, I have to tell you that you are a saw hoarder. A very classy, and meticulously organized, saw hoarder.

P. S. nice score!

I thought I'd better take advantage of the weather and starter moving big items from my home shop to the museum building. This was last Monday, my grandson was helping a bit. The forklift was borrowed from the contractor that built the building.

Unfortunately I broke a fitting on the surface grinder (central lubrication for the ways) and had to lift it off of the base. I was able to position my Ranger and use the "truck crane" I got from Rockcrusher402 a couple of years ago. I don't need to use it a lot, but when you need it it sure comes in handy.

I completed some work on the wiring while it was all accessible, and went ahead and connected the inverter to operate the 3 phase motor with my 1 phase electrical supply.

Now all three machines (lathe, mill/drill, and surface grinder) are fit with 3 phase motors and inverters. The grinder will always operate at 60 Hz but it is very nice be able to adjust the speed on the lathe and mill/drill and be able to reverse the drill. These inexpensive inverters are really quite convenient to use, and the removable key pad was really nice as I was able to relocate it to an easily accessible location on the front of the machine.

I have decided I must concentrate on getting things moved over to the new shop or it will never happen. Today I took the remainder of my McCulloch IPL's over to force me to start doing more work over there.

Before...

There is still a little room on third shelf up.

Top shelf is pretty much open but not convenient to access so it will be for long term storage primarily.

Wow! That is very cool! Looks nice and tidy. Do you have more to move over?
