Not much to be seen anymore.
You can see a bit of greenish shim on the edges, thats it.
Crankcase is not cracked as much as i know.
Maybe i overshot cleaning it with scotch, forgot that i already did and did again...
I never had problems with slacker bearings so i didnt bother much finding SKF, and these were at pretty much same price.
Bearing was cleaned with and lubricated so it doesnt rust but i left black seal so dirt doesnt go in there yet.

I have major doubts but then again I’ve never tried to do something like that. I’ve tried knurling and Loc-tite sleeve lock and neither kept the bearing from spinning. Maybe your way makes you the new bearing pocket repair guy...never know.

As far as how yours got to where it is. You could take out too much material with scotchbrite but it would’ve taken A LOT of sanding. For the future, you typically don’t need to sand the bearing pockets. Just clean them with a rag and that’s good, again typically.

Just realised, when i was putting a handle on that the piece that holds AV grommet was missing... damn.
Fixed with this simple way.
Gonna secure it with a bit of epoxy.

Dont worry about excess RTV, its just from outside, no rtv in crankcase

Ok got it running, started after third pull. Cuts well, could be better but ring is not seated yet i guess.
Cant get it fourstroking.. Lol. Limiter coil kicks in.
Doesnt seem that it leaks somewhere, idles nicely.
But screws dont really make a difference
Carb is cleaned, shouldnt be clogged.

Changed carburetor, same thing, L screw works okayish but H screw doesnt do anything... i screwded litterally all the way out and still doesnt run as it should.
Help?

I've never seen a 359 with a limited coil. Also, did you replace the wallowed out case half?

No, but it doesnt leak there.
Dont know pal, it feels just like limiter, goes up, then immidiately lowers rpm and keeps it there, can feel that theres no spark.

Ah, damn it, gonna replace it tommorow to be peace minded.. one more rebuild i guess.

Im 99% sure that its not a problem, but ill just replace it just in case to be calm until i fix that other half, needs a bit of tig welding on another spot.
Yeah, after what it go through, cylinder is in pristine shape... i would be an asshat if i destroyed it now.

Will try pressure test first, im interested whats the problem, cannot reaally do vac, no equipment.

But i can surely say that this engine wont suffer heh, i always run them bit richy and 40:1

By the way, when we touched carbs, how do you guys adjust them? Tacho?
I always adjust them so it four-strokes at noload (full throttle), but doesnt in the cut - by sound.
Any flaws in this "technique" ?

Yup that’s a good technique for tuning. For me, a Tach reading is just nice to know after tuning by ear, but not necessary.

OK did a rebuild.
Starter from 3rd pull again...
I adjustet needles all way in and 1 1/2 turn back, idles nicely, doesnt change rpm when i rotate it.
But simply doesnt want to four stroke, even going almost all way out.(H needle)
Crankshaft seals are new oem.
How high should be metering valve set?

Should main jet be two-way?
I can blow and suck through it, i know that some are single way?
Im sure that its something with carb, it doesnt leak, and four strokes when i flood it with choke.

Seems to be four stroking now without the load, sounds just like this
But im still confused why needle valves do not really work, idle valve doesnt change rpm until given throttle, High speed valve make a small difference until maybe 3 turns out and from there no effect until all the way out.
Is it possible that main jet is too small? Can anyone show me a pic of one (chainsaw wes used and serviced before, i dont know if anyone changed anything before me)
Since H valve stops making difference, this should be from not enough fuel be able to flow through, something is limiting it.
