just no real desire on the part of the manufacturers to dedicate the time/money to making them, for the limited market they will serve
the ones I sell were created to match the crankcases they make for the MS290 that sell crazy numbers, so far they don't "need" to make a small cap despite many of us asking for it
The other type that I don't carry I believe were made at the request of Gregg, but I don't know how sales have been going, hopefully well.

Just ordered a pair, plus one one the ht101 issues, first time I had a problem with them, dumped a whole tank of gas out by accident, wasn't exactly happy about that!!!

Hmmm....

That seems to infer that they think only the pro's with matching flippy caps break em and Joe Homeowner with his 250-C non-matching caps doesn't. (Probably true, tho.)

The smaller ones are used on a ton of products, too. Hell, you'd think they'd make em just for the 192T and 200T if nothing else. Plus, how dorky does it look with one flippy and one twisty? Sheesh. Do they know no shame?

At least in the case of the manufacturer of the caps I have they don't manufacture an engine housing that requires a small flippy currently, so they would have to justify ramp up costs based on sales of just the cap itself.

Nah, I get it. Just seems like re-sizing production for the smaller caps wouldn't be a big deal after the engineering they've already put into it.

Dave just had the 440 come back in. Have been the test bed for both style of caps. He prefers the ones you sell for fuel cap. Guess I will see if he wants a set for the oil cap now too.

The small ones I am still waiting on too. Gregg at LCS is the only one I know having them made up.

Are you trying to get small made up like the ones you sell Dave?

Yep he wanted the oil flippy cap replaced too . Ready to go back out after repairing for no start.

You might of seen a few sells last night. I showed the test saw to a new group of folks on one of my sites with 6000 members and my other one with 3300+ members. I know a few bought yesterday after seeing them first time.

So now go tell them folks to make them small oil caps for us.

I would love a normal cap on my 200t!!! Those small flippys are a mess.
