Ooops!

I thought they were solid.

Back to my idea of gluing in an adaptor for a conventional, threaded cap?

Philbert

I have been thinking of doing that for years now. What is/was wrong with the screw-in caps? Like we do not have a scrench out there in the woods anyway to tighten chains with? Oh, that's right, we are supposed to have big toolless crappy bar adjusters, non-orange screwgie Mtronic saws, and flippy caps. Phut! The C saws...

I always got a kick out of Andre's video.

I've always liked that one. The recalled caps would get out of time from top to bottom. Chaos followed, you couldn't get it off or put it back on without leaking.

Wonder if those will fit the back pack blowers, I have a BR600 and I knew the exact moment the cap wasn't on right any longer, what with the fuel/oil mix running down my back. Spun me out of control into a whole new level of pissed off I did not know even existed.

Just ordered a set a couple days ago Dave. Looks like they should be here tomorrow.

Just picked up a 362, I now know why both tanks were almost empty when I test drove it. Topped off both tanks, ran it for about 20 minutes, set on work bench and came back to a mess.

Your caps look sweet, thanks in advance!

i don't have trouble with flippys i can get them open unlike husqvarna caps which require a flathead screw driver or scrench.

Although prolonged Shindaiwan and Husqvarnish efforts to penetrate the information epicenter of the Stihl Corporation have failed, the Stihl servers deep in a bunker in the Northern Rhineland have inadvertently linked to servers in the U.S.
A thread was found posted on a quilting forum in Oregon entitled, “Operation Flippen Käppen.”

Translated to English, it reads:
We have received this transmission from German Field Operatives in the U.S. woods.
Our efforts to cultivate rabid beer enthusiasts in the New Country have succeeded. The subjects have made preparation to engage in a major beer run and are currently taking a leak.
The little orange screwdrivers are all accounted for. They are secure and in our possession. The ones who haven’t lost the schrënchen they were issued have left them on their tailgate and we will intercept them now.

So DDave...,

I see mention of "pairs of caps". Are there replacement 0000-350-0526 oil caps now too?

BTW, the handful of samples you sent me some time ago work fine with the exception of the one with the missing 'O' ring. (At the time there was no word on the availability timetable for the oil tank caps).
