In my opinion, the full moon brings out the strange in people. Went out shopping twice this weekend and both times regretted that decision.

Where we live it's expected that cars will yield, just walk across from parking to the entry. Don't bother looking. Home Depot, Target, wherever........... not Walmart.

I saw a woman back her boat trailer and Silverado down the ramp and out of site under the water. Luckily she had her windows down and came up sputtering… about 40’ out in the lake.

Stupidity is very costly as well as the alcohol thing, some are in such a rush they throw all sensibility out the window. I am at the boat launch most every weekend the water is not frozen hard. It would be a thick book to relate all the things I have seen at the boat launch. Pulling vehicles out is not uncommon, some were driven in front first, others had been backed in or slipped down the ramp and into the water when the wheels were not physically blocked. Boats being launched with the drain plug not installed, others launched without a handling line within reach end up floating away with the owners swimming after them or shouting like mad hatters for someone to chase it down for them. Not a day goes by without some sort of calamity happening, latest was my neighbor on the lake, his left rear tire fell off just as the boat launched, upon inspection I found the bearing had seized a good while ago and he pulled that boat on the trailer for about 45 miles from his home, the bearings and races are definitely gone, will need to pull the hub to see if it is salvageable. The comical ones are the snake like ones trying to back up a trailer that end up at steep angles off straight back, then try to pull a boat back up on the trailer or just the opposite drop the boat half sideways on the concrete partly in the water, much fun moving a boat weighing over a ton .
