Touched these components up, tried to match the factory spatter type paint. We’ll see. Winter muffler cover turned out pretty spot on
I got a can of black rattle can off the shelf at HD years ago that put down a nice spatter finish. Namebrand they called hammer something or other I thnk.

My 10-10 doesn't leak at the fuel line thankfully....just seeps out between the tank halves. I guess I'll have find some red kote and give it a shot. The saw is definitely worthy of going into my firewood saw rotation.
Well, fast forward several days and now my 10-10 doesn't leak fuel from the tank anymore. Perhaps the gasket needed to swell a bit. Either way, I'm happy I can fill it up now.

The old cork gaskets would sometimes work that way, not something you could rely on though.

I didn't think this new synthetic gasket would behave that way, but it did. It leaked bad after I installed it, but now it is good to go.

I wouldn't trust any Pro Line products.Case in point - my brother has a Stihl MS290 & he had a brand new Pro Line ignition module put in it after he had the saw rebuilt. He cut about 3-4 wheelbarrows of wood & the coil took a dump.He had to have the original coil put back on & the saw runs fine again.

I wouldn’t trust a coil, but I think the gaskets, seals, and plastic bits are usually fine.

Yeh, I trust Duke's, Wolf Creek for AM parts more than Proline/Sawzilla. I know these AM parts probably originate at the same place, but what are you gonna do? So far everything Proline I've used has worked out. They may not have as much command of inventory/shipping though. Last purchase it was a week before tracking said it'd shipped, 3 more days for it to actually get on the road. Took well over 2 weeks total.

I like the Viton gaskets and have used ones from The Duke and from Proline with no issues. They definitely swell when exposed to fuel, I've had to wait a day to put a saw back together to let the fuel tank gasket shrink back to a size I could actually fit in the channel.

I need to get another one for my 7-10 now that I know it fixed the issue on my 10-10.
