The pro Mac 55 I got was a dud, no idea how it even ran. Turned the 6-10 into a left hand start. Love having a chain break and a dog, switched out the carburetor The other smaller carburetor behaved so well, this one gets a little rich takes a few pulls to restart. But the fixed high screams smartly and it is larger. I do have a question, changed over the clutch and 6-10 has keyed clutch and 55 did not. Will it back off. The threads were right to tighten. I put on bar/chain and ran it.

If the tapers were clean, dry, and fit well and the clutch nut properly torqued (book says 160-170 In/#) it should be O.K. Since you put the clutch from the PM55 (no keyway) on the 6-10 (keyed crankshaft) you may be able to up the torque a bit. Never go overboard when tightening the clutch on a RH start saw with the keyway in the spider, they will break very easily.
