That linkage probably is better than those rubber bands .Where did that brain storm come from?
My 125 had a welded spike like that on it. Thought it was homemade but I'll have to look closerI like those snubbers on the 10 Series, makes it easy to disconnect the choke and get the carburetor off.
I posted my big H&S spike for the large frame direct drive saws recently, just a reminder:

I just got another one off e-Bay, smaller overall in size. I went ahead and sandblasted it and shot it with primer. I also have one that fits the large frame gear drive saws. This one had seen some hard use and had been cracked and re-welded.

I have a question. Did the CP with the round muffler ever come with a cover over the mufflerOn the plus side, it should have a steel sleeve so you could bore it oversize if needed.
On the negatives, someone cut the AF cover, saw dust screen is broken (Bob Johnson has NOS, I have 3D printed replacements), muffler cover is missing, home made spike (now you may wish you'd have kept that small H&S), and something is going on with the compression release...could be just the anti-vibe mounts are broken but you should check it out.

I paid less with a 32" bar with mine. I feel like I got an awesome deal thoYou think $500+ shipping is too much for this. I’m a bit on the fence. Been wanting to get one. Looks te be a little rough around the edges. Sounds like it is a good runner though.

I have a Mcculloch super 250 that I rebuilt the carburetor, and change the points and condenser. It has nice blue spark but it will not run on gas in the carburetor. What could be wrong?
