I imagine it was a fair price...just more than I was willing to pay. Plus, I was pretty bummed to get there and take a quick look, and realize it wasn’t a 125...2 hour trip one way.

Well...got there. Wish I would have gotten photos I asked for. Didn’t think the photo they showed was a Mac 125...but when I asked what it was, they replied with super pro 125c. Ended up being a Pro Mac 850...was in really nice condition though. But I walked away.

What did they want for it?

Nope. I did ask for some...it was through letgo, so I gave my email to have pics sent. They never sent them...but honestly didn’t want to miss out on the possibility of a really nice 125...so I took the trip anyway. Wife and kids went along, and they had fun. So it wasn’t all too bad.

Letgo?!
I love how all these new little trendy sites clutter up the market and make it harder on buyers and sellers.

Yeah. Letgo is a new one. Found out about it a couple months ago. Have actually found a few decent items on there

Hey fellas I'm in the market for a running 125. Also may be interested in a 797 but would like to learn more about the 797. I know cc wise they are the same, and no av, but side to side how do they run with a 125?

The regular 797's ARE stronger than a 125 the two super 797's I had a lot more rpm's but didn't seem any stronger than an sp125c to me. The cp125 may be stronger than an sp125 but I wouldn't say by much. I prefer the 125 AV myself, but the 797 vibes are not terrible. The "c" model has a chrome bore and fixed jet carb. I like it the best as it just let's you get to cutting comfortably.

This may open the market up for a 797 then. Thank you for the info

Not all 125 C's have fixed jet carbs .Most of the SP 105's did though. Probably the 797 and CP 125 are a little closer to the kart engine than the SP 125's .That being said no matter which model if it's running correctly has oodles of brute pulling power .These are not the trim the apple tree in the back yard type of saws .

Well neighbor finally came over was a 610 pro mac brick, not the 6-10. I traded him for the saw and some cash as I offered since I’ve known him a long time. Looks decent shape going to clean up and get running with new carb kit and fuel lines then give it a little run against my 041av and see how it does. Definitely plenty heavy for its size.

Maybe it’s a good saw, see if it will run with my 041. Only thing that comes to mind is seeing them at k-mart and pamida growing up. Which was the beginning of the end for them. Same saw sold as an eager beaver wasn’t it?
