If I could get $50 U.S for a non running 10-10 I’d be a happy man, I tried to locally sell a good running 10-10A last year and got so fed up with the screwing around I just took the ad down

I've bought quite a few saws on Marketplace & have not had any negative dealings.I couldn't sell a Mac around my area to save my life.Everyone is Husky or Stihl.
A couple of yrs.ago we had a July 3rd party at our house & there was one guy,had to be in his mid 30's & he said he never heard of McCulloch chainsaws.I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I told the people it doesn't have to run I'd give them the money and walk away. I wanted it for parts for my good 10-10S that I need a carb for. Oh well !

McCulloch was still operating from their Tucson, AZ headquarters until the late 1990's and still building saws like the PM8200 up to the end.

Sadly they were also building PM5700 and the whole 32/35/38cc line up as well.

They were even building grey and yellow PM badged Mini Mac saws.

When the engineering/manufacturing offices were in Tucson the assembly plant was in Hermosillo Mexico. Many of the 300, 600, and 32/35/38cc saws were assembled in Mexico. The PM3200 (Mini Mac) would have been assembled in Mexico as well.

Electrolux spun off the Husqvarna OPE group in 2006 and that business has been operating independently since then.

Since about 2008 Husqvarna has owned the McCulloch naming rights worldwide.

A couple of discrepancies in that video.1) he couldn't even pronounce McCulloch properly (as about 90% of people can't.2) he said there were 3 screws that held the oil pump on,when there are really 4.3)new to me that the Timber Bear is 54cc.

He pronounced it perfectly. He just has a different dialect. I live in Missouri, or is is Missoura? Just like you live in Neh Yawk.

All Timberbear's were 3.4ci, there was also a 3.4ci Eager Beaver, I own both.

For those who don't know the Mac super 44A chainsaw engine morphed into the MC 10 kart engine . As far as the chainsaw because they have a hold down choke you almost need three hands to start it .I use a little screw driver to "stick " it .If you never have seen one of these antiques in action you'll be surprised at how well they cut especially if the air vain governor has been bypassed .I have a D44 Dan Henry sent me I eventually want to make a vintage hot saw with using a 250 carcase with a tuned pipe, the whole nine yards .

I think that is how my D44's piston was scored, the cylinder outside was caked with sawdust and oil while the governor was bypassed...running it at high speed without it being able to efficiently dissipate heat led to the oil cooking off and overheating. Maybe this isn't an issue with hot saws. Luckily my cylinder is still in really good shape, will get it back together and the give it a try! I found that my choke lever sticks down, but not sure if that was from all the grime around it... :D

I'd imagine with an iron lined cylinder it could take a lot of heat to do any damage .Depending on the piston it might be able to sanded it off and stick it back in .If the rings are shot I'd have to refer to the charts to find the McCulloch stock numbers .One of those things you might find them or you might not .On that though I'd about bet Mark in Iowa might be able to help you out .All that said the big yellow saws were made to run almost forever so yo

u never know .
