I’d like to get my SP125, stihl 090, 090g, 797 super, homie 750, jonsered 111s together for some long bar fun.
That would make for fun indeed! I have an 090g with 66mm topend, but it seems slow. I really like the homelite 750, it has nos rings and feels solid, but I think it would like some timing advice! My 2100cd is a good runner, I did a base gasket delete and it has 185+ comp and is a b-word to pullover without a decomp, I haven’t ran it much in wood since the bgd, but it seems strong! Haven’t ran 50” on the homelite or 2100 but I think they will do fine. I don't think 090g's really show you anything until the bar is at least 72" or a couple of feet more. We've done some long bar stuff at the PNW gtg. Bob had an 80" log there for fun. I haven’t given my g much of a chance, I never have set up a chain for it and only have a 50” .404 setup. I have a 64” bar but it has 3/8 chain, it’s a hard nose bar so I could get different chain. Con rod - mc49 mc 91 -------------105-110 inch pounds *
Con rod - mc101 ---------------90-95 inch pounds *
*a master mc builder told me told that 101 rod bolts with 85-90 inch pounds and red loctite is bullet proof
and torquing to 110 results in cracked caps.i myself do 85-90 inch pounds
Crankcase End Cover Screws --------60-65 inch pounds
Crankcase Bottom screws -------- --95-100 inch pounds
Cylinder Head Screws -------- --55-60 inch pounds
Exhaust Header Screws -------- ----55-60 inch pounds

Do you use locktite on the rod bolts?I am hoping that i never have to take it apart again,but it sucks when they take themselves apart.
I'm thinking 3/8 may be too little tooth, then again my SDC 101b did not like 8 tooth .404 but 7 is nice. 3/8 IS too little on a 090g for sure. And .404 seems to be too little on large 6 cube + Mac & Homie geardrives. That 125 should have considerably more torque than a 750. The 750 has more speed, but neither of the two I had could hold a candle to any 123cc Mac with a long bar period. The 111's I had both had a lot less speed than a 750 but the same amount of torque. I like a 111 way more than a 750 for longer bars as to me, the lower engine speed gives less operator fatigue. The 2100 Homie has the torque but handles like an old truck where the 125 feels like a muscle car. Still a 125 is possibly stronger and to me is much nicer to use as a work saw. They are sought after and have a mystique for a reason. I feel they are the best over 6 cube saw ever made with the conditional (very long bars) exception of an 090. I am going to test the wb with 3/8 9pin on the 50” bar, looking forward to the 750 and 2100cd test too, have the sp125c to compare to, but I already know how it dose

Parts, breaker box cover, and hold down brackets, flywheel nut. Had a NOS condenser, which I installed. Then cleaned up the points, and finally saw some blue lightning. Shot a little mix down the carb, and sounded great!! Can’t wait to get some fuel in the tank...and get the carb wet!!

Nah...didn’t get any emergency service calls yesterday. Was kind of surprised.Were you busy yesterday getting people's power back on after the big storm? Lane Electric had several crews up here - parts of Lincoln county
were without power for about two days. Mine was off for about three hours or so in the worst part of the storm.

Lucky on this saw a year or so ago. Came with bar. Glad to finally have spark worked out. Checked compression...topped out at 180!!
