I'd keep that one forever. Then my kids could throw in the dumpster when I croak. Kind of makes one cringe a bit.

The IP of the 800 shows either a decomp or a bolt that holds the bracket for the top of that goofy screen muffler.Has to be one or the other because there's only one hole Decomp # 215673 which I would say is the same as the 805 which also comes out the side . I would assume then it is the larger thread size like the 805

24 on the needle bearings. The Kart guys used to leave one or two out to free it up a bit, just make sure you don't leave any loose running around it the crankcase.

Although I could not find the IPL on the D-44 in looking at other IPLs it shows 24 needles on every other reed valve engines .On some of the kart forums they mentioned Terry Ives has them .
I found the rest of them. They were stuck to the magnet on the parts tray got them back in today. Just trying to figure out the trigger assembly. Think i got it figured out. If anyone has a teardown of it they could share i would appreciate it. Thanks again.

I can't help you out .I've got a super 44A which is an 87 cc and a power house .All I've ever done was a carb rebuild and bypassing the air vane governor .Pretty impressive for circa 1959 -60 .I was 11 or 12 .:)

Be careful using magnets on the rollers Kevin. They can pick up some magnetism and hold metal filings. I dont know where the metal comes from but it seems a magnet always finds filings.

Good point @Steve. I had not used a magnetic tray before. It just got me to thinking (I guess a bad thing :))...I've lost a few rollers before...maybe a few brains over the years too.

The roller should be hard enough that they are not easily magnetized. If you only have them exposed for a short time it should not be an issue. Even if they do pick up a bit, the shock they receive when the engine is running should knock it out in short order anyway.
