Use the companys old wall calendars. They always send me more than I can hand out. Nice and clean white on the back.
(I know, subject on table is wrong shade of black and yellow, but has an interesting story to tell shortly on the Poulan thread)

I did look in the tank of the super 44 but that felt contraption was missing .The bolts were different from the OEM hex-slot screws so it's my assumption the tank top had been off some time in the last 50-60 years .The pic shows both the original cap and one from a 250 and they do interchange as I thought .I had to soak it down with WD-40 ,tap it about 5 times with a hard wood block and a dead blow then a little nudge with a pipe wrench .

How does that 250 run? I have one that has been in storage for at lease 30 years, maybe more. Luckily the gas and oil tank were drained way back then. Inside of both tanks is as clean as new . Thinking about firing it off in a few days, it has good compression and good spark.

Here it is nested in between a Homelite and a Stihl.

Good the last time I ran it .This is hard to follow Mac geardrive 650,no bar .Mac super 44A 32" hard nose ,Mac 250 open roller 24" . .The 32" went on the geardrive with 1/2" chipper chain .The 24" open roller went to the Super 44A with a loop of Stihl .404 chisel .The 250 which had a rim drive got changed to an 8 tooth 3/8" rim and a never used NOS Oregon hard nose with a 50 thou slot .It just so happened that fat 18" bar took took the same driver count as a Stihl 20" 72.With that chisel chain in 3/8 "it cuts a lot better than the original .404 chipper

I'd imagine the last time I fired that 250 was most likely at a GTG .I'd take several mainly because you don't see many of them .A few faster Stihls and sometimes that Homelite 2100S in the avatar .That one BTW is rare ,I've only ever seen one more in my life time . About burned the highways up,southern Indiana to Meadville PA and all over the state of Ohio. Met a lot of people and saw a lot of saws .It was fun .

That 700 brings back "just David" a flea bay seller .He'd hawk 610-650 10-10's and 700's and really talked them up .I 'm not sure he ever sold them but this guy was a real PT Barnum .With flea bay you don't know if it 's the truth or just amusement .
John Lambert AKA Gypo Logger,Franks Planks ,Yukon John and two dozen others would smash a saw or two every year .Dropped a tree on them ,ran over them with a skidder etc .He'd put those smashed like a pan cake things on flea bay with a kings ransom price .Knowing full well nobody would buy them . You'd be lucky to get just a fuel cap off of them if even that as a usable part .It was just for amusement .
