Any chance you have the McCulloch socket for the kart rod bolts? Or an extra bolt?
This may be against the rules and frowned upon as a redneck rig but I just use a 6mm 6 point deep well socket and tap it onto the head of the bolt with a small hammer. It's a snug fit. I'm careful not to apply too much force when breaking them loose. I use plenty of PB Blaster and tap on the head with the same hammer to vibrate things loose and help the PB get down into the threads. Torquing them back down to specs with the 6mm is a cinch as long as you haven't monkeyed up the heads of the bolts.
I'll have to check on the extra bolts as I have an unusable rod and have bought a couple spare rods but can't remember which bolts came in them.

So I’m in Parker dam az just down the road from Havasu.

Took a drive down McCulloch Blvd last night.
Drove over the London bridge.
Thinking all the time, “This is the town that Chainsaws built”

I’m kind of meandering down McCulloch Blvd and my lady says,
“I know what you’re doing”
I say “what am I doing?”
She replies,
“You’re looking for hints of chainsaws”

She was totally right.
Nothing just yet.

I did meet an older (actually from Germany)gentleman who worked in the factory making tool and die.

I’m close, I can feel it.
We’re leaving tomorrow if anyone has any clues as to where to look.

I got a picture of that gen set .Very similar in design to the one Mark posted only smaller .It's hard to say exactly who made these things but they sold them with any name on them and most likely in every color in the rainbow

My next door neighbor had a Homelite generator that looked like that one. Though it was black, not the traditional red.

My Homelite gen set is black too but I'm about certain Homelite didn't make it .It is similar to one sold under a different name sold by Lowes . I think it's like the Ohio mower company that is really in Kentucky who makes them under about any name and any color . Home appliances are about the same way .

Gentleman wants to give me this but it’s too filthy to go on the plane and I don’t think I’ll have time to clean her up for shipping but..

Is it worth it?
She’s not a runner but pretty clean.

Yes!

Just drain all fluids and quadruple bag the thing and ship it usps, I've had them drop off two boxes smelling of gas now no problem.

I received a saw recently in a case, the shipper just wrapped some tape around the latches and the bar and sent it that way. You will need to double or triple bag that one but I expect you could get by just bagging and taping, the case will provide adequate protection for shipment.
