Gonna start my last round of hay tomorrow.

Looks like I may wait until Tuesday. We are still at 80% for Monday. Looks like a nice week for hay!

Got the hay down, good weather still in the forecast.

Bush hogging some areas I let get away the last couple years. Been busy and haven't been running enough cows to keep it down on my place. Things getting ready to change soon though. Dad dropped a bit of hay as well today. My saturday is set on the rake or baler.

I bush hogged after work till a little after dark this evening too. Had to borrow my dad's little yanmar while my LS is in the shop for warranty work. I miss my LS while using the yanmar.

I do get to feed back to mine. I usually take 1 cut only. But this year we always seemed to get rain at the right time. It looked to good to chip up to feed the soil. I cut it high so I can flail it down for spring.

Loaded at 5AM. Should be nice and chilly by now. Pick up in a couple of weeks in nice plastic vacuum packs.

Cut the last of my hay. Pretty sparse. Corn be ready next week

Thin here as well. No rain for too long. Replaces some we already fed just to get by.

We got 42 4x6 bales off of 35 acres. Not a bumper crop by any means.

An "OK" year , 400 plus a few 4x5's off 100 acres Sold them off the field for $30 bucks a bale

I’ll guess 30 bales total which considering would be right around average. I did not use fertilizer this year but I tend to keep my levels high. Figure I’ll hit it this fall and let it think about life this winter lol

I’m in debt with em lol. Literally I cannot pay my bill currently. Corn is bout ready to go so hopefully I can breathe again. Stuff has gotten steep

Nothing special triple 19 usually. This spring I just used potash.

My levels are a little wonky Used a lot of chicken poop. Might pull samples just to have an idea where I’m at. It needs something but I’m not sure what. Might’ve just needed water which I’m pretty confident about. Might try to no till some new grass in Gotta do some thinking

I'm seeing a little broom sage here and there. Probably needs phosphorus. I should pull a soil sample.

Yeah I don’t treat my hay ground quite as well as I should. I don’t sell any hay. All goes to the cows so as long as I’m getting some volume they could care less I don’t like people riding by and seeing a shoddy patch considering I’m supposed to know what I’m doing lol.
